The Kaleshi Build
316L Stainless Steel
Made with 316L stainless steel, chosen for its strength, corrosion resistance and suitability for everyday jewellery. It is resistant to rust and significantly more durable than softer base metals commonly used in fashion jewellery.
18K Gold PVD Plating
Gold pieces are coated with 18K gold using PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) vacuum technology. A titanium bonding layer is used between the stainless steel and gold, rather than nickel, helping create a durable and skin-friendly finish. The gold coating measures approximately 0.03–0.05 microns, depending on the design and part.
Water & Tarnish Resistant
Designed to withstand everyday exposure to water and sweat. The jewellery has been tested in salt water and is intended to resist tarnishing and discolouration under normal wear. While water-resistant, limiting prolonged exposure to chlorinated or salt water can help preserve the finish for longer.
Hypoallergenic & Nickel-Free
The PVD plating process uses titanium as the bonding layer instead of nickel. According to Glozzo, the jewellery is hypoallergenic and has undergone laboratory testing for skin safety.
Stones & Detailing
Selected designs feature cubic zirconia and other decorative inserts. Stone type, finish and detailing vary by individual design, so I would mention the specific insert separately on each ring page rather than making CZ a universal specification.
Care
Made for regular wear, but avoiding unnecessary friction, scratching and physical impact will extend the life of the plating. Although the pieces are water and sweat resistant, removing them before prolonged swimming, showering or high-intensity activity can help maintain the finish for longer.
